Indiana Line Utah 5
Enjoy full, dynamic sound and embark on a musical journey with Utah 5! These powerful, retro-style 3-way speakers are designed for versatile use. The name of this model refers to the Indiana Line heritage – after all, the first designs bearing the Indiana Line signature, associated with the Utah series, emerged in the 1970s. The enclosure of the Utah 5 is made from MDF covered with a PVC veneer, and the speakers are available in two colour variants – with either a black oak or a light oak frame. Both versions feature a solid matt black front.
Optimized for floor placement
The Utah 5 is designed to sound its best when placed directly on the floor. Its cabinet features a subtly tapered rear edge, creating a natural tilt that ensures the ideal speaker alignment relative to the listener and listening space – no extra feet required. This configuration minimizes floor reflections, significantly enhancing clarity and depth of sound. For added versatility, the included optional rear feet allow for placement on low shelves or consoles, where tilting the speaker is unnecessary.
Powerful bass
The Utah 5 speakers evoke the past while simultaneously representing a modern approach to sound processing. They blend classic design with advanced technical solutions, enabling them to deliver powerful, energetic, and dynamic sound. A large, 10-inch woofer (with a 270 mm diameter basket) featuring an efficient magnetic system, optimally tuned to the enclosure, is responsible for the low frequencies. Its membrane is made of polypropylene, which ensures high rigidity and effectively dampens resonances, resulting in a warm, deep, and precise bass.
Dual bass-reflex
Featuring a ventilated enclosure, the base of the Utah 5 houses two bass-reflex tunnel outlets – often referred to as a Twin Port. This design enhances the efficiency and quality of low-frequency reproduction. The bass-reflex ports operate without noticeable sound compression or airflow turbulence, even when playing deep bass at high volumes. The height of the Utah 5 loudspeaker’s feet has been chosen to allow adequate airflow into the efficiently working ports. The energetic low frequencies are naturally enhanced by the proximity to the floor.
Naturally sounding midrange
A 5-inch driver with a polypropylene membrane, mounted in a 150 mm basket, handles the midrange frequencies. Operating within a specially separated and well-damped chamber, it guarantees clarity and precision, faithfully reproducing vocals and instruments with outstanding musicality. The prominent front baffle is a tribute to classic speaker designs, delivering a full, rich sound that many audiophiles prefer over the sound of modern, slim speakers.
Enhanced tweeter and crossover
The high-frequency range is managed by a newly designed tweeter with a 26 mm textile dome. Its upgraded neodymium magnetic system and wide 104 mm front ensure a subtle, yet open and spatial sound. By employing a crossover based on the topology found in other top-tier 3-way Indiana Line models – such as Diva 6 and Tesi 6 – the Utah 5 offers an exceptionally harmonious and balanced sound.

With an efficiency of 94 dB and appropriate impedance characteristic, the Utah 5 pairs effortlessly with a wide range of amplifiers.
