The QED Performance Graphite HDMI replaces the QED Performance HDMI-E is the latest Performance HDMI cable from QED. The Performance Graphite offers the fantastic picture and sound quality that you would expect from QED, plus all the new features including HDMI 3D, Ethernet and Audio Return.
The eye diagram (a) represents the performance of a typical High Speed HDMI cable. None of the plot lines should lie within the central mask (red areas) if the cable is to meet the minimum specification. The diagram shows that the typical cable is barely adequate and that it exhibits large amounts of timming error jitter caused by the electrical characteristics of the cable - this is represented by the blue trace which is spread over a wide area compared to the ideal signal shown in red. The second diagram (b) shows a QED Performance HDMI cable exceeding the minimum standard by a very wide margin. Also the deviation from the ideal signal is very much less thanks to the very low jitter electrical characteristics of the cable afforded by its superior geometry and choice of materials.
Support for Ethernet enables screens with internet capabilities to get internet access through the HDMI cable provided the device the screen is attached to (usually an AV amplifier) has internet access.
Audio Return solves a common problem where the user wants to get the audio signal from the screen back to an AV amplifier so that the sound can be directed to the attached speakers. This is most commonly required where the screen has a in built Freeview or Freesat tuner.
The QED Performance Graphite HDMI has been designed to connect and transfer digital video and digital audio signals between a DVD or a Satellite/Cable box and the following components: AV Processor, LCD Display, Plasma, Projector and TV.
